Job summary:
• Oversee monthly close process and provide accurate reports in a timely manner to stakeholders
• Monthly review of bank / balance sheet reconciliations, financial statements, cash flow analyses and inter-company activities
• Oversee lender compliance and reporting for all entities
• Make decisions regarding compliance with GAAP and the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry
• Review acquisition purchase price allocations, opening balance sheets, debt modifications/ refinances, and other technical areas as needed
• Establish and maintain systems and internal controls. Working with the President and Vice President to ensure compliance with all applicable ABC Investments & Management policies and procedures
• Lead annual external audits for ABC Investments & Management
• Manage cash flow, funding of mortgages, and operating disbursements
• Assist with the acquisition/on boarding of new hotels
• Assist and oversee new construction accounting per guidelines
• Participate in the recruiting, hiring, and training of Hotel Controllers/Directors of Finance and corporate staff
• Additional assignments as needed for special projects
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, required
• Minimum 3 years of experience, required, hospitality experience is a plus
• PMS and POS systems experience is a plus
• Proficient in the use of MS Office
• Experience working with financial management software (M3/InnFlow/QuickBooks experience a plus)
• An analytical mind with a strategic ability
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Fluent in English, Spanish is a plus
